I realize that all of my “overseas” friends here on Pbase care little about baseball, and I know that many of you non-West Coast types here in the United States have barely even heard of the Padres and could care less.

However, for the second straight year our San Diego nine is going into the post-season playoffs, and again this year against the St. Louis Cardinals.

No naļve over-inflated boosterism from this San Diegan … just a dream and a hope we will win the National League Championship and then the World Series.

I care little for baseball, being an "overseas" person, but I say "Go Tigers!!!" First time for yonks that they are in the playoffs or so I keep hearing, and now they have to face the Yankees.....
