This will probably be the last of my Old Sacramento shots. This is how the western terminus of the brand new transcontinental railroad (Central Pacific) looked in 1869.
The “Big Four” Mark Hopkins, Collis P. Huntington, Leland Stanford, and Charles Crocker were the chief entrepreneurs and got filthy rich as a result.
