November 8: Civic Duty

San Diego, CA

A few of these United States are having by-elections (as the British call them) today. Certainly the local ballot with a hotly contested mayoral race combined with the Governator’s* sponsored referendums for California make voting an important duty. I did so, and I suspect that none of my choices will be the winners. ;-(.

Our voting place is where they store the snow plows. Kinda the same, but different, lol!
Like the Fishy look.

They were voting in really strange places where I'm working also.

Good journalistic shot!

I haven't voted a winner in years. I feel your pain.

Yes, here in the 'burbs, we vote in people's garages.
Mindy McNaugher09-Nov-2005 01:46
Love the selective coloring!

At least you voted. Now you can rightfully complain about the candidates in office. Very strange place to go vote, though. Somebody's garage?

Nice use of color and desaturation.
That is an interesting polling place.
Is that someone's home?

We call them by-elections! So you didn't make Arnie's day, then?

Nice pic Robin!

We are having municipal elections here and have all our senses battered about by advertising and signage. Good to get out and vote.
Lee Rudd08-Nov-2005 18:16
40 percent turnout is high! good use of selective colouring
Bob Foisel08-Nov-2005 17:55
Ya but you'll have the right to complain. I voted last week, and dropped off my ballet with two or three seconds to spare as they were closing. Nice DOF, but all those empty poll booths.:<(
