Captain William Bligh

So it turns out that Captain Blight of Bounty fame made it to safety after his crew mutinied and set him adrift in a small boat. He later became the Governor General of Australia!!

Wow.... To think that this man was MY great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great Uncle!! I am not sure if I should be proud of him, or ashamed because he was a bad captain and an unfair person...But right now, I am definitely proud:)

An epic voyage in an open boat across the Pacific and I think I'm right in saying that he did not loose one of his crew in this small boat during this time. A much maligned hero of his time.
