All right ... raise your hand if you know anyone who ever watched Lawrence Welk show on TV. Maybe even you ;-)

Talk about old time polka and plenty of corn, the show was ever popular with the older folks when I was growing up. I happen to live 15 miles from Lawrence Welk Village (just off Champagne Blvd.) Lynn and I met there for breakfast this morning.

Yep, used to watch him every Saturday night. When we stayed with my grandmother we had to beg for her to let us stay up and watch. Cool! Great memories!

Yes I remember him well. My mother used to think he was just for old folk and when she was in her 80s she tuned him in and loved his show, bubbles and all. Lovely portrait.

It was my father's parent's favorite show. I watch it frequently. Of course back then you only picked from 2 or 3 channels ;-)
