This is an enormous sundial made of smooth marble.

If you tried to walk on it and ascend,
you would get about to where the shadow is before sliding off.

The steps also are narrow and very steep.

The sundial's calibration scale (faintly visible on the upper edge) has marks just 15 seconds apart!
