February 20, 2006

Allan Weinbaum has mastered the ancient art of Gyotaku, fish painting.
Prints are taken
off of the bodies of real fish, similar to finger printing.
Prints are made on hand-made
rice paper from Japan.
Allan is very particular about his prints.
He rejects nine out of ten prints.
He has no web-site, but can be reached at Lorelei Marina, P.O. Box 196 Islamorada, FL 33036

19.95 is cheap with that high of a rejection rate. Nice.

What an unusual art, and not too expensive for all that work.
