February 5, 2006

Yesterday, Saturday, was a gloomy day on several levels.
The only bright spot was seeing Jeff, a good friend of ours, who now lives in Miami.
Unfortunately, we spent the day looking for a doctor. I was apparently bitten by a fire-ant.
My left foot was of no use to me. Jeff drove me to a critical care facilty on the other side of Miami.
Now my foot is on the mend, but the rain lasted the remainder of the day.

Instead of watching the sunset last night,
Jill unzipped a space in our cockpit enclosure so we could get
a good view of the cruise ships leaving Miami for ports in the Caribbean.

This morning dawned sunny and bright. So I hope to be a little more upbeat tomorrow.

Hope you bit the thing back, weather looks a bit iffy but I still yearn for the sea.

Rainy days are nice for sleeping and nothing else as far as I'm concerned. Hope your foot is better today. Those insect bites can be nasty.

We have only in the last 3yrs ( or there abouts) had a fireant invasion in Australia & there is an ongoing program to try & eliminate the horrid things. Hope your foot is okay again & days like this are few & far.

White vinegar immediately for fire ant bites! Looks dismal in the rain, huh.
