January 2, 2010

Any day that Floridians are required, by the weather, to wear socks is worthy of a front page news item. Today was such a day. I even had on a pair of gloves this morning when we walked along the beach.

Certainly today qualifies as one of our annual seventeen days of winter.

I've heard our nasty frigid temps are headed south for a vacation

Estralita and Cindi... after seeing the weather in other parts of the country I am almost ashamed I mentioned our little spurt of less than tropical temps... but it still feels cold to me...

Beautiful shot....cold here in Houston too.

Hope it doesn't stay cold for too long!

Uh..oh... Char.... Even if she is in Miami their temps are dipping into the 40's F tonight. Further north in Florida is registering the 30's. Where I am, we expect a couple of hours in the 20's after mid-night tonight.

Scott... we have turned most of our plant areas into rock gardens... I have about as much luck growing plants as I do growing hair.

Coleen... hopefully you are not getting that rain along with the cold... I don't think New Orleans would look good draped in snow.

I love this photo. And, I was beginning to feel the warmth of a Florida beach until I read your commentary. We're cold here, too. Cold and very sloppy with our 26 inches of rain in December.

Oh no! My daughter's in Florida and I was hoping they would have nice warm weather until they left for their cruise on Sunday.
