Image of the partial lunar eclipse of 26th June 2010.
The image is a mosaic of 12 panels taken with the ToUCam's 640x480 resolution and a 0.6x focal reducer. An IR block filter was added to ensure correct colour representation because I particularly wanted the reddening of the shadow to be visible.
Exposures of both 1/250s, 1/500s and 1/1000s were blended together to capture the full dynamic range of the partially eclipsed Moon. Each panel is a stack of 190 frames, which provided for low noise levels so the image could be processed with curves and sharpening in Photoshop.
