I'm afraid that my Canon SD700 is not quite up to snuff in it's maximum telephoto mode.
Subjects just don't seem to be as sharp as I would like them to be.

Ditto Eleanor. It was not actually that clear that day, and if the camera picks a high iso, which it seems to have had here (if you send me the original image I can see what that was), it will loose some detail in the image, which happens with any lens but more readily a zoom at max?

This is still a wonderful photo when you consider the distance of Mt Tam.
