The Garden Tomb is located just outside the Damascus Gate, near the Old City of Jerusalem. In some traditions, this site is considered the burial and resurrection site of Christ, near the adjacent Golgotha. The Garden Tomb compound consists of an extensive network of paths, benches and rest areas, and is dedicated to quiet prayer and meditation. While many believe that the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is the actual burial site of Jesus, the Garden Tomb remains a popular tourist and religious destination.
