This photo has been adjusted for contrast; what I first saw was only a faint indistinguishable lump through the mist that didn't even look like a boat.
When it became obvious that it was indeed the boat, I took this shot, about 5 seconds after the "vertical" shot.

Great shot! I believe these boats are built to right themselves in rough surf. I saw a show on the Coast Guard once and it said certain types of their boats have that capability. I'm glad, though, that nobody was hurt.
