Robin

I've been waiting patiently for this shot. A mother robin built a nest right outside our living room window in a holly bush. She had 4 eggs that disappeared one at a time. She didn't give up and a few weeks later there were four more eggs in the nest. Two or three have hatched. I prefocused on the nest and waited but she decided to land on the porch railing even closer to me so I slowly lowered the camera and grabbed this shot. I can't get a good view of her feeding the babies but I am thrilled to add a robin shot to my galleries!
Shot through a window.

Roberta, beautiful close-up. I'm wondering if you find the Sony better than the Mk2? For bird shots.

Roberta: Great shot! That Robin is packin' one serious load o' worms! I've never seen that many in a beak at once..Great capture! Now, though, because I was going to have noodles tonight, I'm going to have to wait awhile before I can eat dinner!!
