Scientific name: Cinnyricinclus leucogaster (Boddaert, 1783). Also, called 'Amethyst Starling'.
Distribution: North and Central Namibia, North and East Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique. Also in South Africa in North Province, Gauteng, Mpumalanga,
KwaZulu-Natal and sporadically into East Cape as far south as Komga area. Habitat: Savanna woodland and riverine forest, following fruiting cycles of trees.
