Pink-necked Green Pigeon

Jurong Birdpark, Singapore

Scientific name: Treron vernans (Linnaeus 1771). This bird is a male.

Pink-necked Green Pigeons eat mainly fruit. Their colourful feathers allows them to blend perfectly in the foliage of fruiting trees. Distribution: Southeast Asia from Southern Myanmar,
to the Malay peninsula, to Sulawesi, the Philippines and Borneo. Very common resident In Singapore throughout the island and North and South offshore islands.
