Throughout their long lives, no brother or sister were closer to each other than my mom and Clem. Until Clem married in 1966, he was a regular guest at our home in Arlington, VA, not only at Christmas but at various other times during the year as well. He spent a lot of time with me growing up and was like a big brother to me, often taking me to movies and to the swimming pool even when the weather was so chilly we might be the only ones there. He passed away in 2010.
