This bird was working the road that forms the southern edge of the High Pines. Not a particularly striking bird, though the glimpses of blue in the feathers are intriguing. I happened to catch this flight shot and found it to offer an interesting perspective on the plumage. This has been a very uncommon bird out on the beach and I believe it is my first one out there.
