I don't often see Canada Geese on the ocean side of Duxbury Beach, and I haven't seen any out there at all for a few weeks. Presumably they are staying near their mainland nesting areas (and harassing local golfers?). Thus it was unusual to find these three on the ocean beach just north of the Gurnet guard shack. It was all the more incongruous to see them traipsing through the protected active Least Tern and Piping Plover nesting site! I don't want to think what their big feet could do to a nest.....
