To reach the Dry Tortugas requires either a 2-and-a-half hour boat ride or a 30 minute seapline ride from Key West. We chose the boat, as you get to stay at the park for longer that way.

The day we visited the weather was a little choppy which made the crossing a little uncomfortable... but it was well worth it.
