For us Florida residents, alligators are so common that we seldom bother to take pictures of them. It gets a bit tiresome when every time a tourist sees you with your camera at a wildlife site they immediately tell you where they just saw an alligator, and are surprised when you don't immediately sprint over to take its picture...

However, I liked the way the light was falling on this fellow, and the Night Heron I had been watching for the previous 10 minutes waiting for it to catch a fish was not showing any signs of moving, so, here it is, an alligator picture.
