Feb 6 - White lingerie

I was trying for a shallow DOF effect but it didn't work - just looks badly focused. Oh well.

Decided to go for a "bold" B&W conversion instead... maybe too bold - what do you think?

i think the b&w conversion here is fine, but i think the more narrow depth of field in the alternative version is better. james is right on as to why this happened.

The alternate goes more with your shallow depth of field attempt. This is a nice seductive image. I think you didnt' get the shallow DOF since your subject is more parallel than perpendicular to the film plane. In your alternate your subject is more perpendicular and lends to the look you were after.

I like this one better. The B&W coversion looks good to me. I think you got the shallow DOF ok here too. The back of her thong is in focus nicely.
