Pre-dawn shot from Anhinga trail, Everglades National Park

I arrived at the trail while it was still dark, so that while I could hear birds all around and see a few dark shapes flitting overhead, I had to wait for a little more light to photograph them.

But these guys were all around, and staying still enough to be able to focus even in the dark.
