Rio Grande Zephyr

Between Crescent and Pine Creek, Colorado

Rio Grande 117 train rounding a curve in South Boulder Creek Canyon. Power for the train was a GP40-2 (#3116), an Alco PB and a F9B. Running between Denver and Salt Lake City, the Rio Grande Zephyr was the last regularly scheduled revenue passenger train not operated by Amtrak.
