Extra 3184 East, a detoured Denver, Rio Grande & Western train, passing a Rocky Mountain Railroad Club excrusion train, west of Hermosa, Wyoming. The excrusion train was pulled by Union Pacific's Challenger #3985.

Because of flood damage on the DRG&W in Utah, many of their train were re-routed over the Union Pacific between Salt Lake City and Denver on the Memorial Day weekend of 1984.
