Zanzibar is made up of a mix of Hindu, Christian and, in this case, Muslim populations which creates a dazzling and completely unique atmosphere. This elderly gentleman insisted on me paying him to take his photo, something I would rather not do but muslim men here are hard to entertain with a camera lens so I could not resist paying him a few cents to capture his character
