Bob Searl - December 1944

At Eupen, Belgium a few days before the Battle of the Bulge began,
with an enemy artillery barrage into our station and German Paratroopers
dropping into our area in the early morning hours of December 16, 1944.

I have been to the Normandy Landing Beaches many times, taking students and friends. I think it is a holy place that all Americans should visit. The sacrifices were unimaginable. Thank you.

I just want to personally thank you for all you have done. I find that people now a days are forgetting what people like yourself and others sacrificed for our freedom! You are a true hero.
