I had seen this raven about a half hour earlier in possession of what looked like a rice cake. It was being harassed by a gull that eventually flew off. Until the raven reappeared, I hadn't realized that it had only consumed half the rice cake and buried the rest. I don't know if it just got hungry a half an hour after the first meal or if it worried the gull would return and claim its treasure.
