The background has been handled well - the viewer's attention is grabbed by the subject . Check the boundaries of the image - the tail has been slightly clipped and there is an unnecessary distraction in the lower left corner. I feel that the contrast needs to be adjusted slightly to give more punch to the bird's feathers.
