Beautiful composition Ruth. The branch sweeping across the trail on a diagonal really focuses the attention on the trail as it moves gently in an arch to follow the river. Love it. Vote.

I can imagine... walking there, stopping for a while along the canal, get out a small luch, a small bottle of wine to go with it ( I love a good Bordeaux, like a red Saint-Émillion ) ans simply listen to nature, the birds chirping away, the squirrels running around in the leaves, the sound of falling leaves, the smell of the leaves on the ground... and getting lost... in my thoughts and dreams...
