Tuesday 24th May - Day 157
An interesting find... driving around the small villages near home, I found this. I was only looking for the typical (but fast disappearing) Red phone box, when I found box, post box and this lovely building! Above the "Telegraph Office" sign it says "Zion Chapel 1841", which explains the church like shape; the GR on the post box indicates that that part at least was installed between 1912 and 1935 (assuming that it has been there since first installation and isn't recycled. What age the Telegraph Office sign is itself, I don't know - I've never seen one before! And it still looks like it is being used as the Telephone exchange... wow. I'll go and rest now.
