I have a collection of these sorts of photos from castles and fortifications the world over. I cannot resist taking a cannon's eye view trhough a fort's battlements.
One thing, why are these guns facing inland, towards Brixham? If they were needed in this direction, then the fort would have failed in doing its designed job, which was to protect Torbay against invasion by the French
