WE HAD TO DESTROY IT COMPLETELY AFTER USE W/A GRENADE 'CAUSE THE VC COULD USE IT FOR BANGALORE TORPEDOS OR OTHER EBTs (EXPLOSIVE BOOBY TRAPS)ON US.

The US started using the LAW in Vietnam in 1963. They soon found out that it had a major defect. The rocket could explode prematurely. The US military did nothing to fix this defect. In 1968 I had a M72 LAW rocket explode on my shoulder while trying to fire the rocket at a VC bunker. I have suffered with sever spinal issue that the VA has denied the LAW explosion as being the cause. A recent article in Science Daily stated that 1 in 9 soldiers returning fro Iraq and Afghanistan are returning with spinal injuries from explosions. But my injury does not count. The US Military finally recalled all LAW Rocket launchers in 1975 at the end of the Vietnam war. How many of our young soldiers died or were wounded from this piece of crap weapon and our military commanders did not care.

Great Shot,
Clint Eastwood's partner in the Enforcer nearly got her head taken off with a Laws rocket, awesome piece of kit, I didn't realise it was around in the late 60's.
