Teepees of Inverloch

Victoria.

Over winter,2014 Inverloch experienced numerous king tides that eroded dunes.  Tea trees collapsed onto the sand leaving copious amounts of debris.
At this time, teepee constructions started appearing on the beach, an anonymous construction artist had been at work.  The locals say they have no idea who is constructing them. We marvel at the strength of these structures to withstand the tides .
These art forms are such a beautiful addition to the beach environment.  We admire that someone has had this creative idea and used a found natural resource.
Unfortunately they will eventually weather with the seasons and disintegrate.  This is public art in its purist form.
We are happy that they were still standing when we visited in May 2017.

Lovely photo, Barbara. Beautiful foreground and placement of the main subject. The blue sky is a prime back ground. Well done. Vote.
Enjoyed the notes as well.

The artist not only created a work of art but also cleared some of the debris on the beach. Nice look at the rippling sand. V

Someone went to a lot of effort to build these. Terrific image, Barbara.

I love this. People being constructive as opposed to destructive. I'm sure the artist has exactly what was wanted, self satisfaction without recognition or accolades. A superb photo, Barbara. V
