Yarragon, Victoria.
St Jarlath Catholic Church, Yarragon, was designed by Leonard Flannagan and erected in 1900.
The tall timber church is gable-fronted with intricate detailing. The church is clad in weatherboards up to window transom height, above which are timber fish-scale shingles.
The roof has recently been reclad with corrugated iron, otherwise it is highly intact and in excellent condition.
The exterior form, materials and detailing of the church and hall and the setting of the buildings contribute to the significance of the place.
St Jarlath Catholic Church, Yarragon is of local historic, aesthetic and social significance to Baw Baw Shire.
