The Carnegie-Mellon Campus

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania view map

Yes, despite all the greenery, this is an urban campus, well within city limits. That's
Forbes Avenue running along the left edge of the picture, The Carnegie (Art and Natural
History musuems, plus Music Hall and Library not shown) at the bottom, and Shenley
Park immediately to the right of the campus (Flagstaff Hill in the foreground, the golf
course behind). At the near left corner of campus, you can see some buildings with
green roofs. The one furthest to the right and rear is Newell-Simon Hall, home of the
Language Technologies Institute and my office. The building in front of the green
roofs is the new Center for Innovative Computing, which was just a hole in the ground in
the previous version of this picture, taken two years ago.

(The quality is less than stellar because the Cathedral of Learning
window through which this was taken was rather dirty.)

Hay I like the picture! I have some of the R B tutorial info from the net.
It is nice to know people still put GOOD info on the net. Thank you.
