Great Blue Turaco (Corythaeola cristata)

Kakamega, Kenya

A massive and very impressive Turaco which keeps to the canopy of tall forest trees. In Kakamega they are difficult to see but often show well just before dusk -not the best time for photography!

I did see this bird there in 2004, but not able to photograph it. Memorable species to see and 'shoot'. Well done, Steve! (You do have to post photo's more often though to please your loyal fans...;-) ) Cheers, Rick
