Looking out of the west portal of Pocahontas Tunnel No. 2 on the former N&W Pocahontas Branch in Tazewell County, VA. The first loads from the famous Pocahontas Coal Region were hauled out on this 4.6 mile piece of railroad on March 10, 1883. It was this very line which got the N&W started in the coal business.
