From the "You can't do that anymore" department is this shot of NS 930 running the wrong main at Singer, some 10 miles west of Roanoke. Not only are the N&W color position light signals gone, but the area is now off limits. Ten years ago this was a great place to sit and relax for a few hours and nobody would bother you. Unfortunately those days are now just a memory. The third unit back is a venerable C39-8 which judging by the exhaust, is pulling it's weight of loaded Herzog ballast cars.
