Troligen en vinglös hona ur skalbaggefamiljen Lampyridae. Hon satt still och lyste länge (minuter). Andra lysmaskar, hanar, flög omkring och lyste kortare stunder (några sekunder). Fotograferad med fullt utdraget objektiv vilket fiffigt nog skuggade blixten något på den lysande delen av kroppen!


Glow-worm on a lawn in Germany
Probably a female beetle (without wings) from the family Lampyridae. She was sitting still in the grass and had her light on for quite a long time (minutes). The male beetles flew around and were lit short periods of time (a few seconds). I was taking the picture with my lens fully expanded which luckily somewhat shadowed the flash on the lighting part of the body!
