The “Panda” has been a valued member of our family for over thirty years and three generations. The captain is on permanent shore leave and we can no longer enjoy the many features that make this a unique experience for any family, or for live aboards.

The hull is low maintenance fiberglass shielded plywood with a full length ballasted keel. Almost forty feet OA plus bowsprit, with a twelve foot beam, portions of the three cabins boast a headroom of seven feet, four inches. A full galley features an oven, refrigeration (needs work), and a 150 gallon pressurized water supply. Need a shower? It’s in the main head, or outside after diving. A second head is in the forecastle.

A heavy duty Ideal brand chain-rope dual capstan winch makes light work when you weigh anchor. Electronics includes VHF radio, autopilot, and flasher depthometer.

Cruise forever on the economical 80 HP Ford diesel with 214 gallons of fuel capacity, or set sail for points known only to your imagination with a folding mast for your sloop rig with masthead jenny.
