A ton of these periodic cicadas "emerged" in our yard two nights ago (Williamsburg, VA). Most seem to either be dead or gone by the morning today. Haven't seen any elsewhere in town. Not sure if the ones in my yard are just just a bit early (I would guess they are part of the 13-year "brood" XIX - which is due this year), of if some other odd thing is going on.
Shot with my garage sale, reversed Reversed 28mm f2.8 Series E.
