This is Lancaster Castle, which is used today as a prison.
Apparently, if you walk up too close the inmates yell out the windows at you!
Such a beautiful building..would have loved to see inside, (it not being a jail of course).
We loved all the Castles and Abbeys we visited throughout our four week 'adventure', and look forward to seeing more next time ;-)
