Grand Old Oak

Corriganville, CA

* 3-3-07 *

Taken at "Corriganville", I'll bet this very oak is a famous star that
you just never heard of before! Back in the 40's thru the 60's, many
Western films were shot here, as well as "gun fight" performances for
the folks who wanted to walk down the Main Street of "SilverTown",
"Tombstone" or "Dodge City".. Fires during the 70's destroyed most of
the town's structures, but hiking along to find sign posts was a treat!

Notice that there is a small red spot under this "star".. that would be Charisse
from SPU! She certainly shows the gloriful size of this Hollywood Icon 8^)
altho it must be noted that she is only the supporting actress in this scene.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Fascinating tree! Great having Charisse for perspective as to the size of the tree!
