Odd Lil' Flower

Saw this lil' guy all by his lonesome, sitting way low
to the ground & was pleased to get this shot of it before
it disappeared under the bright So. Cal. sunlight. I have
no idea what kind of flower it is, but it's pretty small
and I thought it looked alot like a cacti bloom..?
