Stumpy the Spider

Simi, CA

This spider made me do a double take ~ & altho normally
I would squish him after a photo shoot, I just left this
guy where he was; figured he deserved to be left alone..

Super close-up of "Stumpy", the Wolf Spider! Don't know if they re-generate lost limbs but am sure he'll get along just fine!

Well, just in case, I looked up images of brown recluse spiders on google & No, the abdomen is larger, without markings & more oblong & rounded on the recluse. But thanx for the heads-up just the same!

That is a recluse, isn't it? Very dangerous and sometimes deadly. The violin marks it.

I used to just take 'em outside too, but with a field next to our house, there are many, many spiders to choose from, so I figured if they come inside, they are fair game.. lol

LOL! I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him at first.

I don't squash them but ever since Breland was bitten by a brown recluse I pick 'em up and bring them outside.
