Washington Coast

Didn't make it today... so I'm putting in one of the hundreds of photos I took this weekend when we visited Pacific Beach with my brother's family and some friends. The weather was mixed - what else is new, this is Washington - but it didn't matter at all. We had a great time.

To answer Josh's question, I was walking along the water looking up the beach when I took this. Pacific Beach is a very long beach with a very shallow dip so that the water goes a long way down at low tide and a long way up at high tide. This was at low tide. There was a huge sandy area that was very wet and had many tiny holes with clams underneath. There were also sections like this where you could see the ripples in the sand from the lapping of the water.
