Walnuts On Our Deck

These walnuts come crashing down from the black walnut tree above our deck every September. They're a sure sign that fall has arrived at
our house. If the squirrels can store them somewhere, they will also help tide them over during the winter. Of course, Carol's
handouts are usually enough to do the trick.

Bet your squirrels get dirty paws when peeling those black walnuts! Neat shot, Jay. V~

Heck Jay, bet you have to be careful where you walk with these lying around ready to trip you up! Never seen Walnuts in their shells before, only in a plastic bag in the shops! Lovely shot. +V

You have walnuts, and I have palm nuts. The sounds of them crashing on the patio are sometimes quite startling!

If you build it, they will come, Janet. I've already seen a red squirrel tearing one apart, and the black squirrels are interested in them too. The trick is to catch them in the act.

I expect to see photos of squirrels to go with these walnuts! Janet
