Scientific Name: Parides montezuma

This beautiful butterfly is found in dry forests from Mexico to Costa Rica, although it is rare in Costa Rica. However,
I assume this butterfly was in a shipment from Costa Rica since the Butterfly Garden
obtains its butterflies from Costa Rica and El Salvador.

This is the first time I have ever seen this butterfly in the 9+ years that I have been photographing in the
Butterfly Garden.
