As indicated previously, adult puffins mostly eat small fish, such as sand eels, herring, sprats, hake, and capelin.
In Witless Bay capelin abound, a favorite of humpback whales in the area, but as a non-fish expert I cannot
vouch for the identity of the fish in these two images of the same puffin.
